5 Reasons to Do Real Estate in the Spring

Blog by Ray Estrella | June 1st, 2022

So for the last mont or so, my social media posts revolved around the Spring Market, and why its beneficial to do Real Estate during the spring time. So heres a summary of why the Real Estate market and Spring go hand in hand.

The first thing to note is that a lot of people have perceptions that the prices go up in the spring.  With the experience of doing this for many years, its an inconsistent perception.  We've seen many markets that get lower as well as higher during the spring.  However, the benefts of doing real estate in the spring is beyond factors of money.

Also, even though price is a big factor, its best to understand your entire move.  For most people moving in spring, the real estate venture consists of selling AND buying. So keep in mind, if your home has declined in the previous months, you can expect the proeprty youre looking to purchase will be seeing a decline as well.

Anyways, here we go on consistent reasons why you should move during the spring:

1. Better weather
Now the sun is coming out, the greenery is starting to flourish. Better weather is the easiest way to enhance the picture quality of your home that could also feature trees, as well as park spaces nearby. Interior shots will also have an optimal amount of light. And nothing beats visiting a property during a Spring sunny day

2. Post tax season motivation
Preparing your taxes can be a yearly dreaded chore. As for #realestate, it definitely has its benefits. For those looking to get into the market, one of the most popular time frames that people get their prequalification done is after tax season. Especially for those who are going into new and better jobs and higher pay raises, this reflects a change in their pre-qualification, and usually for the better. This means that there are a lot of motivated buyers coming on to the market to look for a new home.

3. Just in Time for the School Year
The moving process can take up to a few months to fullfill. From there, its best to have it done so you can put more focus on other areas of your life that may need attention, such as the preparation of your kids' school year.

4. Keep your summer plans
The moving process can be something that can be stressful and can be emotionally draining. Let the Summer break be what it is meant for: taking a break! A move during the Spring time means that you and your family can still do your summer plans without your move being on your mind.

5. More inventory

Its very typical to see more inventory during the spring....mainly because people want to enjoy the better weather, have their children prepared for the new school year, and enjoying their summer holidays.
