So, i sent out a postcard to my farm area with a call to action to ask me anything and here is one of the questions i got: 

"I'm looking to get my real estate license next year. How did you choose your office?"

Well i work for Sutton Seafair, an exclusively canadian brand brokerage.

I looked at two things:

1. I got advice from a colleague to work with a manager you can trust. 

Especially when you're new, you definitely want a manager that will have their doors open any time you need to ask a question or ask for help. A good reputable manager will go to bat for you, defend you and guide you through this industry which can be not so friendly at times.  

2. Culture

For me an office culture is very important. What are the core principles in the culture that you are part of?  Does it revolve around success? Are your colleagues there to provide you with ideas to help you and vice versa.  Is your office a type of office that likes to collaborate ideas in this ever changing industry?

Thats me...i'm an extrovert.  However, if you're an introvert, maybe office culture may not be as important for you.
