Client Appreciation 2022

Blog by Ray Estrella | September 8th, 2022

On September 6, 2022, we hosted our third client appreciation event at City Central Fun Park. The event was dubbed "Family Game Night."

This was definitely an exhaisting project that was 2 months in the making.  However, since our last event in 2019, this was a lot easier as the planning template was a copy and paste since the last event.

At the same time, I was really happy to be bringing an in person event back, and I definitely wanted to make that clear to my clients that I was really excited to do so.

The planning process had lots of moving parts that needed two months minimum to accomplish:

-the venue
-catering
-the partners
-additional help

and most of all..the guests.

Our event was catered by LaTaqueria, one of Vancouver's most recognized names for Latin American cuisine.  I met the owner about 10 years ago when he was new to Canada. Now hes a partner of the largest chain of Mexican food in the greater Vancouver area.  Im very happy our guests loved the food.

However, I only had 2 tacos. :(

Brenna from our Richmond Family Skate team hosted our prize wall.  This was a new idea that was derived from our idea in 2019 "The Strike Alley" or something like that. Pretty much, when you got a strike, you came up to a wall where you can pick a prize.
We pretty much had enough prizes for all the adults and older teens that participated.  Our sponsors and I hit a  goal of 62 prizes!!   Which ranged from a candy bar, all the way to a food vouchers up to $50 from our partners.

Our candy bar draw was a fun new addition to our event which was taken care of Parm one of our mortgage brokers.  We had a bag full of candy bars that was part of the prize wall.  Most of the candy bars were.....just a candy bar.  But there were a few candy bars that were strapped with $10 or $20 bills.

At the end of our night, we had our prize draws to conclude.  We had some amazing prizes including:
-a will kit by Ironwood Notary

-a bluetooth headset
-golf balls
-gift baskets
-kids prizes
and more!!

The one prize that garnered a lot of attention was our womens prize that was donated by Nisha Lalwani.  I presented it as a 'box of chocolates.'

However after the draw, it revealed that the box of chocolates had a $150 gift card included to costco to help with the family shopping....or whatever their hearts desire.

Stay tuned for part 2
