The Hotel Vancouver is one of Vancouvers most elegant buildings in Downtown Vancouver. Built in 1939, the Hotel Vancouver has hosted many huge celebrities as they visited town. And now, its said to be the home of a ghost most commonly known as the "Lady in Red" as shes always seen wearing an elegant red dress commonly worn in the 1940s.

The Lady in Red Ghost was only known to be seen in two areas of the hotel, the 1st floor and the 14th floor....which coincidentally are the only 2 floors that lead to a dummy shaft. Sightings of the ghosts were commonly seen on the 14th floor as the Lady in Red escorted guests to their hotel room. And more recently, there has been surveillance footage of footsteps and strange sounds recorded by security cameras by the stairwell of the 14th floor.
There is a popular origin of the Lady in Red, who was known to have visited the Hotel Vancouver ballroom on many occasions in the 1940s. A lady named Jenny Pearl Cox was a socialite who frequently came as a guest until her untimely death in 1944. However, her legend lives on as you can go to the bar in the main lobby and order a cocktail known as the Jennie Cox, a deep red spirit named after ....the Lady in Red.
