Hycroft Manor is the haunted house of haunted houses in Vancouver. You'll be able to find this house inthe Shaughnessy area as it is currently used as the University Womens Club of Vancouver, as well as a venue for many gatherings especially weddings.

Hycroft Manor was built in in 1911 by a world war 1 here, who later turned businessman and politician, which hosted many high end gatherings which included royalty, high ranking politicians and successful business owners.
The house, was later donated to the Canadian Government and was used as a hospital for war veterans all the way until 1962. So the very nature of the house's history was very likely to leave remnants of roaming souls in the house.

Anyone who has the privilege of going to this house will be able to appreciate the architecture of this 20,000 square foot 30 room mansion, just like I did in 2006, before I even knew about its haunted reputation.
During a wedding reception, i decided to get a little bit of fresh air. While walking around the house and admiring its architecture, I decided to look into one of the windows that looks into the basement.

I said to myself...wouldn't this house be cool if it was haunted. So,....I let my imagination run wild. As I was looking into the window, i imagined three ghosts. A soldier, and two women.

After the night was over, I did research on this home, and it was said to be Vancouver's most reknowned haunted house.
Hycroft Manor is known have seen 7 different ghosts roaming the hallways. Most commonly, the ghosts that have been recognizably seen was the builder of the home, General Alex McRae, his wife Blanche, and their caretaker atthe time of their death.....a soldier, and two women.
