Vancouvers Most Popular Haunted Places 1: The Vogue

Blog by Ray Estrella | October 25th, 2022

Vancouver's most popular Haunted Spots part 1: The Vogue Theatre.
The Vogue theatre is a popular downtown landmark which opened its doors in 1941. Today, the Vogue is still used as a theatre for many different performing arts.
Many articles about ghost sightings in the vogue theatre claim to have seen the same ghost in the working areas of the Vogue theatre by different individuals, from the theatre employees, and performers who briefly visited the theatre.
It is said that the Vogue theatre is the home of a ghost of a male seen to have dark hair in his mid 30s. The ghost was seen multiple times in working areas of the theatre, more commonly in the projection booth as well as the basement dressing rooms. On some occasions, it was heard by late night staff of a steady beat of a drum or strum of a guitar but nobody was present on the stage as it happened. Its also been said that the same dark haired ghost made appearances to its performing guests while performing, throwing off parts of performance.

There have been theories being thrown around that the ghost was an ex employee of the Vogue, but there were no such record of any employee that fit the description of the ghost, nor was there any death or even injury at the theatre.

The origin of the ghost is still remains a mystery.
