What does an pre-inspection mean (for seller)?

Blog by Ray Estrella | July 21st, 2023

So earlier, we talked about pre-inspections, and they meant to a buyer.

But if youre selling your home, does this mean a pre-inspection is a waste of money.

Not necessarily. If youre a homeowner that doesn't have the best attention to detail of your own, and theres nothing wrong with that, you may want to hire an inspector to inspect the property before the property hits the market, and we're not talking like a day before you put it on the market, maybe give it a couple of weeks.

Your pre inspection will help you understand what needs to be addressed, and maybe this will be a good time frame to rectify those issues.

So, this is more used as a personal reference, not necessarily as a marketing tool, but at least it does show good faith that a seller is paying to have a service that will provide peace of mind on both ends.

And lastly, this is not a service that you do want to cut corners, if you know what i mean. Not all inspectors have the same attention to detail, so you do want to make sure your pre-inspection guy is more meticulous than the inspector the buyer would use to inspect the property.
