A look at Richmond, BC for the month of October

So, the stats are out for the month of October, so lets take a look at whats been happening in our hometown of Richmond,BC

For single Family Homes, a selling ratio of 12%.  This is the first balanced market month in about 5 months. 

The most popular area for sales is a neighbourhood i havent seen before....the Quilchena area with a 31% selling ratio! 

If you're looking to buy, you might want to take a look at both the Steveston North and Steveston South areas!  BOth neighbourhoods have 18 properties sitting with only 3 sales between the two areas.

As for attached property, not as strong as last month, but still strong....24% selling ratio heavily favouring both 1 and 2 bedroom condos!

For the last year, we've been strong numbers for townhomes.  For the month of october, its creeped into a balanced market at a 15% selling ratio.

For most popular neighbourhoods, we saw Hugh Boyd on the top last month, and its on the top again! However, right underneath that is an area we never really sough as a popular area: the East Cambie neighourhood a popular neighbourhood with a 71% selling ratio.

And for properties with a lot of inventory options, you may want to look at the Bridgeport area (which is also close to skytrain access) thats showing only a 5% selling ratio and one sale in the last month
